1978 TOYOTA FJ40 LAND CRUISER
The FJ Company was built on a family’s passion for restoring FJ’s. They got their hands on their latest effort in the middle of 2015 and created something amazing. This 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser ($80,000+) was owned by a single family in Colombia, where it was used an urban commuter with the occasional ride to rural farms. The restoration by the FJ company was completely documented and photographed. They started off by powder coating the frame and adding two coats of urethane to the chassis and floors. They capped it off with two coats of primer before applying a classic Sky Blue paint job, with a Cygnus White hardtop. The 4.2-liter six-cylinder engine, the four-speed transmission, and the four-wheel-drive system were entirely rebuilt using Toyota NOS parts wherever possible. The wiring harness was also completely replaced. You can check out the rest of the build updates on The FJ Companies website. If you’re interested in having this beauty for your own, it’s going up for auction on January 28th in Arizona. More details are available on the RM Sotheby’s auction site.
