1991 Porsche 911 (964) Baja Prototype #1 Up for Auction

Written by Lee King

What do you get when you cross a Porsche with a dune buggy? Well, you’re looking at it. You can now bid on the dune capable 1991 Porsche 911 (964) Baja Prototype #1 ($AUCTION) on the Collecting Cars website. Rusell Built Fabrication originally built this buggy to create “the most capable purpose-built luxury off-road 911 possible.” This buggy features a 3.8-liter flat-six engine built specifically for this car. It creates 360 horses and 310-foot pounds of torque. They paired the engine with a five-speed G50 manual transmission. The interior is just as beautiful as the exterior. It has olive green leather and diamond-quilted black Alcantra. Additional features include a Russell reinforced frame with an integrated steel roll cage and a custom-built FIA specification fuel cell.
