The T1 was popular in the 60’s thanks to its unique looks and versatility, however this 500 horsepower Classic Volkswagen T1 Bus ($TBA) couldn’t be further removed from its predecessors. The builder responsible for this masterpiece is Fred Bernhard of Switzerland and he’s spent the past 6 years reconditioning his vintage 1962 VW T1 into the air-cooled turbo, 6-speed beast you see before you! The boost in power and loss in excess weight means that this T1 can reach a credible top speed of 143mph.
