ALPACKALYPSE RAFT

Written by Lee King

The Alpackalypse Raft ($1900) was designed to take on some of the most treacherous white water in the world while being portable enough to be carried in your backpack. By using smaller internal tubes when compared to other packrafts, the Alpackalypse has more room for the paddler and a more defined side edge, making it quicker to accelerate and easier to maneuver. But all this gives you less lateral stability so it acts more like a Kayak than a raft. Additional features include a reinforced floor, internal rigging, low volume tubes, a total weight of just 10 pounds, and a packed dimension of just 17″ x 11″ cylinder.
