Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K
Blackmagic has finally updated their renowned Pocket Cinema Camera and it looks like it’ll be a real crowd pleaser. The brand new Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K ($1295) comes with a ton of specs users have been asking for. The main one is 4k video. The Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera sensor is a full size 4/3 sensor that gives an incredible 4096 x 2160 resolution, has 13 stops of dynamic range, and an ISO of up to 25,6000 for excellent low light shooting. The ISO on the older model was one of the biggest complaints by users. The HD version of the Pocket Cinema Camera had an ISO range of just 200-1600. As far as frame rates you’ll be able to shoot 60 frames per second at the highest resolution and 120 frames per second with cropped HD. Another great addition is a large 5-inch touchscreen so you no longer have to carry around an external monitor or viewfinder. You get all the normal menus and overlays found on URSA mini cameras. Check out Blackmagic’s website for the rest of the details. But it looks like they’ve addressed a lot of the major issues with this latest update.
