BMW LANDSPEEDER BY REVIVAL CYCLES

Written by Lee King

I usually like my bikes in the style of Harley’s or nicely restored cafe racers, but sometimes you have to acknowledge when someone thinks out of the box and creates a work of art. The BMW Landspeeder by Revival Cycles ($CALL) is just that, a work of art. The bike, from the Austin, Tx based team, came about after a client gave them a blank check to build the bike of their dreams.
This particular build was inspired Ernst Henne’s Landspeeder, which broke multiple records during his career. Even though the Landspeeder is built for the showroom and isn’t street legal, it is still built to Revival’s unwavering standards.
Starting off with a BMW R37, they lengthened the wheel based, reduced the engine’s height, added a magneto ignition system, added custom stainless steel hardware and finished it off with some nice leather.
If you want to check out the Revival Landspeeder in person, it will be showing at the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show, in Austin, Texas in April.
