BOLEX D16 CINEMA CAMERA

Written by Lee King

The Bolex D16 Cinema Camera ($3300) is the first digital camera to shoot RAW at an affordable price. The feel of the D16 emulates the classic 16mm cameras while providing a stunningly detailed image that gives your videos an amazing organic look. The camera features a Super 16mm sized CCD sensor, 12 stops of dynamic range, 12-bit CinemaDNG raw format recording, 24-bit 96 kHz sound, an internal SSD for buffering and backup, and a 4 hour battery. Outputs include dual CF card slots and USB 3.0. It also has the ability to use interchangeable lenses so you can use standard Bolex C-mount lenses or your own.
