BUGATTI LEGEND BLACK BESS VEYRON GRAND SPORT VITESSE

Written by Lee King

Ahead of the 2014 Beijing Auto Show, Bugatti has announced the fifth car in its special edition Bugatti Legends Series. The Bugatti legend Black Bess Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse ($3 MILLION) is based on the Type 18 (Black Bess) that was in production from 1912-1914. The original which was at one point the fastest car in the world featured a 5.0-liter four-cylinder that delivered 100 horses and had a top speed of 100 mph.
The 2014 Bugatti Legend Black Bess has a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 that delivers an awesome 1,184 horses, and a whopping 1,106 lb-ft of torque. Its top speed is 254 mph, but the street version is limited to 233 mph. Now here’s the kicker, The Black Bess will get you to 62 mph in just 2.6 seconds. I’m not sure this thing doesn’t have a jet engine in it.
