CASA BRUTALE X OPA
If you love innovative contemporary architecture that utilizes landscapes in ways never dreamed of, then you’ll absolutely die for the Casa Brutale X OPA ($TBA). A concept in design Casa Brutale, very much reminds me of the Cliff House By Modscape. I do find the OPA design a bit more elegant.
OPA describes Casa Brutale as,”a geometrical translation of the landscape. It is an unclad statement on the simplicity and harmony of contemporary architecture. It is a chameleonic living space, created to serve its owner and respect the environment. It is the inverted reference to Casa Malaparte, encased and protected by the tender earth that has hosted the human civilization for millennia. It is a complete study of aesthetics, structure, function and engineering, which thoroughly detailed, awaits solely its realisation.”
There is no denying the home’s visually stunning beauty which comes from its basic underlying simplicity and minimal interior designs. The house is defined by three concrete slabs, and a pool made from reinforced glass. The pool allows natural light to shine through into the lower levels bringing every surface to life.
The lower levels being inside the cliff benefit from thermal insulation, as well as the cooling properties of having a body as the roof. As you enter the structure you descend 50 stairs and are greeted with breathtaking views of the vast body of water in front of you.
OPA ends their description by saying that, “Casa Brutale redefines the harmonious coexistence of human and nature in a poetic homage to pure Brutalism.”
I completely agree.
