Christopher Ward C5 Malvern 595 – The Thin Mechanical Watch You've Been Looking For

Written by Lee King

The Christopher Ward C5 Malvern 595 ($680) is under 6mm thick which is an amazing feat for a mechanical watch. To do this they utilized the Swiss-made ETA 7001 movement. A hand-wound miniaturized mechanical movement with a 42 hour power reserve. Coming in at 5.95mm this is the thinnest mechanical watch Christopher Ward has ever made. The amazing features of this watch don’t stop there. The polished steel case is a classic 39 mm and holds a beautifully minimalistic Opalin face. The whole kit is topped off with a double curved sapphire crystal. There are a number of watch straps and faces to choose from to fit any style.
