FARADAY PORTEUR ELECTRIC BIKE

Written by Lee King

The Faraday Porteur Electric Bike ($3500) doesn’t even look like it has a battery. Unlike most electric bikes that look like skinny electric scooters this guy looks like your standard everyday bike. But it has a couple little secrets, a 350 watt motor paired with a 195Wh battery which provide pedal assistance for up to 15-20 miles. With a flip of a switch you can turn the assist  off to use as a standard bike. The Porteur also features a US-made steel frame, standard 26 inch, 35mm tires, and weighs 39 pounds. They’re taking orders now with delivery expected late summer.
