HENNESSEY VENOM GT: TAKES TITLE AS FASTEST CAR

Hennessy has it right, if you want to be called the fastest production car on the planet, take it to the track and prove it. Hennesy took their version of the Venom GT ($1.1 million) to the United States Naval Air Station in California and in two miles hit a top speed of 265.7 mph. Now the Veyron Super Sport ran 267.8, but they limit their production cars to 258 mph. The Hennessy Venom GT has a twin-turbo 7-liter V8 that puts out 1,244 horses. Only 29 of these cars will be built so if you have a million bucks laying around you might want to put your order in.
