Michael Collins Gold Speedmaster Professional Wristwatch
Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong became the first humans on the moon. While Michael Collins was orbiting the lunar surface with the command module Columbia. To celebrate their achievement, NASA presented Collins and 27 others with gold Omega Speedmaster watches. The Michael Collins Gold Speedmaster Professional ($105K+) is now up for sale. It is 40mm in diameter and has an 18K Gold case and matching bracelet. There is a gold dial and burgundy tach insert. An inscription on the back reads: “Astronaut Michael Collins, Gemini 10 – Apollo 11, No. 19, to mark man’s conquest of space with time, through time, on time.” Collins has kept the watch in his personal possession for 50+ years and is selling it with a handwritten note.
