PARKSIDE WIMBLEDON HOUSE
The Parkside Wimbledon House ($CALL) was built in 1968 by Richard Rogers as a home for his parents. It revolutionized the idea of bringing the outdoors inside. Parkside features floor to ceiling windows throughout which creates an open plan that brings the garden inside. The house was recently renovated by Gumuchdjian Architects in order to house two Harvard fellows. Three-quarters of the building’s frame was replaced, all of the joineries was refurbished, and the garden was completely redesigned. Through it all the property still holds on to its light and airy feel.
