POP UP HOUSE

Written by Lee King

If you have a screwdriver and a few friends you can build a house in a few weeks that is completely recyclable, energy efficient, and inexpensive.
Pop Up House ($111-$176 per sq. ft.) is a french design studio that specializes in the construction industry and builds high-performance homes.
The frames of their homes are made of wood and insulated blocks and can be built in just a week with only a screwdriver and wood screws.
A standard 1614 square foot model will include two bathrooms an office, three bedrooms, and an open living space. The cost is about $111-$176 per sq ft depending on the options and model you choose.
But if you want the assembly instructions expect to shell out about $1640.
