Meet Salt the Non-lethal Handgun ($279). It was designed “around the belief that a gun does not have to take a life to protect a life.” Instead of bullets salt fires a powdered chemical that explodes into a cloud on contact and immediately incapacitates an attacker. Impairment to the attacker includes temporary blindness, lung constriction, and intense contact irritation. All of this without permanent harm. One of the great uses is to create a chemical barrier before the intruder enters the home. So if someone is kicking in your door, shoot the area around it with the Salt gun.
