The Atom Watch By Pinion

Written by Lee King

Pinion is a UK based watch company who create fine watches using high-quality modern and ‘new-old-stock’ vintage swiss mechanical watch movements. Normally their watches run above $2500, but they’ve just released The Atom By Pinion ($890) which lowers their price point to the sub $1000 range. The Atom is classically sized with a 41mm stainless steel case with a bead-blasted matte finish. It’s powered by a Japanese Miyota 9015 automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve which is topped with an Arabic black dial. The dial has numerals in white, coated with SuperLuminova and contrasting radium coloring. You also get water-resistance to 100 meters which is ok for showering or quick dips in the pool. A beautiful watch at a great price.
