The DeSilver House

Written by Lee King

If you happen to be in Connecticut you might want to take a look at The DeSilver House ($1.7M)in New Canaan. The home is a perfect example of a midcentury modern home. The current homeowners are moving back to Australia so some lucky buyer will have a chance at this little gem.
The home was designed in 1961 by Harrison DeSilver and emphasizes the connection between indoor and outdoor living.
The DeSilver House
The home is 2,048 square feet and sits on a secluded three acres. The structure is built from 6-foot x 6-foot modular systems which provide a beautiful open floor plan. It features floor to ceiling windows that flood the interior with light. The overhang of the flat room provides shelter on all four sides.
The DeSilver House
I perfect home for the purist.
