THE FLOYD LEG

Written by Lee King

The Floyd Leg ($190) lets create beautiful furniture that’s not only original, but easy to pack and move when you need to. The idea is real simple, four legs made from 11 ga. cold rolled american steel in Detroit. The top has an F-clamp fastener with thumb screw. You can use wood up to 2.25″ thick with a maximum weight of 75 pounds. For materials, if you do a quick search for salvaged wood or reclaimed wood in a city close to you, you can find a treasure trove of supplies to make an original piece. The Floyd Leg comes in two options; a 29.5″ and 16″ for a coffee table.
