The Grand Bleu Rolex Watch by Artisans De Geneve
Artisans De Geneve is a Swiss-based company that makes some of the most beautifully customized Rolexes on the planet. In order to get one of their watches, you have to submit a request and tell your story. Their latest creation called, The Grand Bleu Rolex Watch by Artisans De Geneve ($NA) was based on this story from their customer:
“In 1988, I was in college. It was a time of exploration, of freedom. The same year, the movie “Le Grand Bleu” was released. It left a mark in me, it embodies some precious memories. I wanted my timepiece to be unique and to recall my passion for the ocean and unexplored nature.”
The file “The Big Blue” was the starting point of reworking his Deepsea Rolex. One of his favorites. He waned a nautical look while bringing in the blue of the ocean. To meet their customer’s requirements ADG created varying hues by blending different materials and using handcrafted finishes. These include beveling, polishing, and circular graining. They went as far as developing an exclusive hue called majestic blue.
