Last year TOPs ran an employee contest to see who could design the best hatchet, tomahawk or ax. The winner was Lorenzo Espinoza and his creation was the TOPS Grandpa’s Ax ($160). The Grandpa’s Ax is the perfect combination of size, weight, and chopping capability. It’s a small hatchet, weighing under 1.5 pounds, allowing it to be carried over long distances. If you’re a backpacker or a camper headed out for the weekend, this would be a perfect addition to your pack.
