TOROIDION 1MW ELECTRIC SUPERCAR CONCEPT
The Toroidion 1MW Electric Supercar Concept ($TBA) was built as a proof of concept to develop a 100% electric powertrain that could compete in the famed Le Mans 24-hour race. In order to make this a reality, the performance needed to be scalable, and the components lightweight. This includes lightweight high-performance batteries that can be swapped out quickly, and recharged via a standard 120-volt house outlet. The result is an all electric car, which pushes 1,341 horses, has a full-sized trunk, and is as comfortable on a track as it is in the streets. Right now the company is trying to get enough interest to build the first 100 cars. They will also be licensing their battery technology to help out. The price tag hasn’t been announced yet, but the cars in the first run are expected to go for over $1.5M each.
