If pressed, my philosophy when it comes to interior design is one of minimalism with industrial and rustic accents. So I love it when a company makes pieces that fit into all of those categories. Urban Wood Goods is a Chicago based company that uses reclaimed wood from old buildings and barns to create masterpieces. Their Urban Wood Goods Stool ($135) is a modern industrial stool that is built with salvaged Douglas Fir floor boards that are sanded smooth for comfort. The base is made from steel and the feet are adjustable, so you never have to worry about wobble. Check out their site for more great finds.
