VDB MOTO B-1
The Bike Shed, owned by Derick Van den Bussche, is based out of Brooklyn, New York. They specialize in creating beautifully customized motorcycles. Their latest project, the VDB MOTO B-1 ($TBA), started its life in 1986 as a BMW R80RT. By the time Derick got his hands on the bike it was in pretty bad shape. His goal was to maintain the bikes rugged appearance while seamlessly mixing the old with the new. The R80RT was stripped of excess parts and rebuilt using a custom VDB rear subframe, ribbed brat styled seat, a modern 7″ headlight, dropped mirrors, mini warning lights, powder coated wheels wrapped in Pirelli MT43 tires, and ton of other customizations. VDB believes their bikes “should be able to venture beyond where the road ends”, and it looks like this awesome machine hit that mark perfectly.
