VOID V02 MARK II
The Void V02 Mark II ($295) is an unusual watch for those who are looking for something, well, a little unusual. Although its look portrays something from the 1960s version of Star Trek, it is made from some solid engineering. Based off of their digital V01, The V02 features an analog, Japanese quartz Miyota movement capped with a sapphire crystal to reduce scratches. The case is made from sandblasted 316 stainless steel and is smaller, and a little thicker than you’d expect, measuring 36x42x8mm. Water resistance could be a little better coming in at 5 ATMs or 50 meters.
Now the big question is how do you tell time with this thing. At first glance, I couldn’t figure it out, but after reading the directions, it makes sense. Just like a standard watch, the short hand counts the hours and the longer hand the minutes and seconds. Each of the hands is either tipped in white or red. To tell time you just match the color of the tip with the digit of the same color. Pretty straightforward.
