An entire flight crew taking ill during a flight and an ex fighter pilot with a drinking problem and a fear of flying taking control doesn’t exactly sound like the perfect ingredients for a comedy, yet Airplane ($5) is a true comedy masterpiece. Directed by Jim Abrahams and David Zucker and starring Leslie Nielsen, Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty, this laugh fest will have you in stitches from the very beginning.
