BOOZEHOUND

Written by Lee King

Okay, now you will be forgiven for thinking the last thing the world needs is yet another flavored vodka, and you are about to be proved right by reading Boozehound ($15). The well known raconteur and spirits writer Jason Wilson brings together a unique mix of the history of spirits, a recipe collection and a travelogue in this awesome book. Boozehound also digs deeper to discover the origins of our favorite drinks as well the, often surprising, reasons behind the choices we make. In reference to today’s colorless, odorless and it has to be said tasteless spirits, Jason champions the Old World liquor with unique, hard to define flavors. A great book for anyone bored with what is on offer in their local bar.
