JACOB'S LADDER
Nothing will affect a parent more than the death of their child, and this thought provoking movie from 1990 tells a powerful tale. A Vietnam vet is mourning the death of his child while displaying a sever disassociation with everyone else. He tries to discover the truth behind his own past and to do this has to separate life and reality from his disillusionment and death dreams. With stunning performances from Tim Robbins, Elizabeth Pe–a and Danny Aiello, Jacobs Ladder ($5) is a powerful mix of drama and horror and Adrian Lyne does a fine job in the directors chair.
