MERCEDES ENER-G-FORCE CONCEPT

Written by Lee King

Is the Mercedes Benz Ener-G-Force Concept ($TBA) going to be the G-Class replacement in the future? The G-Class originally hit the market in 1979 and since has acquired Legen – wait for it – dary status. The GL series was supposed to kick it to the curb and it couldn’t do it, but newer stricter country regulations may soon force the G-Class off the assembly line for good. The G-Force has a combustion engine that is powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and has four in-wheel electric motors. It uses a hydro converter that is fed by water from tanks on the roof. Whether or not the Ener-G-Force or pieces of its tech ever hit the market is still up in the air, but if it ever goes into production I want one. Check out additional pics after the break.
