MUHAMMAD ALI 1942-2016

Written by Lee King

Muhammad Ali, one of the greatest boxers that ever lived, died Friday, at a Phoenix-area hospital, while he was being treated for respiratory complications. He was 74 years old.
Ali had suffered from Parkinson’s, a progressive neurological condition, for nearly three decades. One of Ali’s last public statements condemned presidential candidate Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States. He said, “We as Muslims have to stand up to those who use Islam to advance their own personal agenda.”
Ali finished his boxing career 56 and 5 with 37 knock outs. In his career Ali held the heavy weight title for 3 years, 3 months and 16 days.
