NINTENDO MAGIC: WINNING THE VIDEOGAME WARS

Written by Lee King

Back in the 1980s, Nintendo was the undisputed king of the home entertainment market thanks to its NES, Nintendo Entertainment System. The problems started when major rival Sony launched their PlayStation on the world, games console boasting such cutting-edge technology that is put the NES to shame. Having lost its spot to Sony the company floundered but in 2006, at the same time as the PlayStation III and the Microsoft XBox 360 were released, Nintendo hit back. Their Wii was David and Goliath all over again and was a worthy payback to how the roles were reversed a decade earlier. This book looks at the story behind that mighty war when Nintendo took on Sony and came out triumphant.
