NISSAN IDS CONCEPT

Written by Lee King

The Nissan IDS Concept ($TBA) is the brand’s idea of where they want to take their fully autonomous zero emission vehicles. The Nissan IDS, just revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show, incorporates Nissan’s autonomous drive technology that improves the ability of the driver to see and react to unexpected dangers. It compensates for human error that causes 90 percent of all accidents. IDS has a fully piloted driving option that turns over the controls to the vehicle. There are also settings that allow the car to mimic the driver’s driving style and preferences.

The interior comes with two versions. One for the manual drive and the other for piloted. During the piloted mode, the steering wheel recedes into the dash and is replaced by a flat screen. The extra space allows all four seats to rotate inward, allowing for easier conversation.
Check out additional details on Nissan’s website.
