ODD BITS

Written by Lee King

Go to any market and store shopping for beef and you will be faced by a choice of prime cuts that cost the earth. Crown roasts, racks of lamb, pork chops are all delicious and make us part with our hard earned dollars to pay for them. The problem here is that due to these we tend to forget about, or avoid, those cheaper but distinctly less lovable parts of the beast that are still edible. Brains, bellies, cheeks, gizzards, combs, hearts, hocks, lungs, kidneys, the list just goes on and on. Odd Bits ($23) aims to address this by showing us how to save money and serve up delicious meals using these odd bits, just don’t tell the kids whats in it.
