OUT OF THE FURNACE

If Out of the Furnace ($TBA) ends up being as good as its trailer you can chalk it up for an Oscar nod. Directed by Scott Cooper, it features a star studded cast in the tough life setting of the rust belt. Christian Bale plays a guy in a dead-end blue collar job at the local steel mill, he tries as best he can to do everything right but ends up doing time. We he returns home years later he finds his younger brother (Casey Affleck) has been lured into the underground world of street fighting and has just disappeared. The cast includes heavy weights Woody Harrelson, Willem Dafoe, Forest Whitaker, Sam Shepard, and the beautiful Zoe Saldana. Out of the Furnace is targeted for a November 27th release date.
