POCKET REF

Written by Lee King

There is no doubt about it; Pocket Ref is a very sweet book. In equal parts an encyclopedia, a tome of trivia, entertainment and dispute solver, you will find buried amongst the charts and tables tons of facts and data that will aid the roadside mechanic, the rider and all those wannabe macGyver’s. For example, you are riding along in Colorado and need to know how much you should re-jet. Go to page 13, the chapter on air and gases, where you will see that air pressure @ 10,000ft is around 70% of the mean standard air pressure. Snippets such as this are priceless, and nobody interested in anything mechanical should leave home without it.
