In total contrast to what the title suggests, Serenity ($6) is an action adventure movie with a bit of Sci-Fi thrown in. Written and directed by Josh Whedon and starring Nathan Filion, Gina Torres and Chiwetel Ejiofor, Serenity is the name of the ship on which the action takes place. The crew have to evade an assassin on board who has been sent to capture a passenger with telepathic abilities. This is a movie that fell under a lot of people’s radars but guys in particular have given Serenity a cult status. If you loved the TV series Firefly, you’ll love Serenity.
