The Porsche 911 Book

Written by Lee King

The Porsche 911 Book ($84) is the essential volume for all fans of sports cars. The photographs courtesy of Ren_ Staud’s lens bring a real sex appeal to inanimate objects and forms. When the Porsche 901 was unleashed on the world in 1963 it was a milestone in the history of the automotive industry. Although it had to be later changed to 911 due to Peugeot having a patent on having the 0 as the middle digit of car models nothing got in the way of the 911’s rise to become THE iconic sports car. This book tells the tell from that first model through all the subsequent cars to the current 991 generation.
