A Clockwork Orange ($8) is another example of Stanley Kubrick’s genius. Starring Malcolm McDowell, Patrick Magee, and Michael Bates, this movie follows Alex DeLarge (McDowell) who lives in a future version of London.
After being jailed for committing some pretty horrific crimes including robbery, rape and murder he volunteers himself for an experimental government-developed therapy. This aversion therapy is supposed to help with solving the crime problems of society, but things don’t always go as planned.
A Clockwork Orange is packed with action and disturbing violence so it’s definitely not for the faint of heart.
